The BSP Camlock Type E is a precision-engineered quick-release coupling fitting designed to provide a fast, secure, and tool-free connection between a hosetail and a corresponding camlock adaptor. Manufactured from 316-grade stainless steel, this Type E camlock fitting delivers outstanding corrosion resistance, reliable coupling performance, and long-lasting durability, making it a dependable quick-connect solution across a wide range of industrial, marine, chemical, and general process fluid transfer applications.
As clearly visible in the product image, the Type E camlock fitting presents a tall, vertically oriented body comprising two distinct functional sections. The upper section features a hosetail spigot, clearly visible projecting from the top of the fitting as a ridged or barbed cylindrical tube end with multiple raised rings along its length. This hosetail profile is designed to be inserted directly into a flexible hose, with the raised ridges providing a secure grip that resists hose pull-off when a hose clamp or ferrule is applied over the hose and hosetail connection. The lower section of the fitting incorporates the camlock adaptor body with a smooth, stepped exterior profile that provides the male camlock interface for engagement with a corresponding Type C or compatible camlock coupler body. The overall form is clean and symmetrical, with no cam arms on this adaptor-side fitting, as the locking mechanism is housed on the coupler side of the mating pair.
The Type E configuration Hosetail to Adaptor makes this fitting particularly well-suited for connecting flexible hoses on the adaptor side of a camlock coupling pair, working in conjunction with a compatible camlock coupler to create a complete and quickly disconnectable hose assembly for fluid transfer operations.
