The BSP Hex Cap is a precision-engineered pipe termination fitting designed to blank off and seal male BSP threaded pipe ends, nipples, or other male threaded fittings within a BSP threaded piping system. Manufactured from 316-grade stainless steel, this hex cap delivers outstanding corrosion resistance, reliable threaded engagement, and long-lasting durability, making it a dependable pipe end termination solution across a wide range of industrial, marine, chemical, and general process piping applications.
As clearly visible in the product image, the hex cap presents a compact body with a clearly defined hexagonal outer profile and a closed, solid end face. The hexagonal exterior provides flat engagement surfaces on all six sides, allowing the cap to be securely tightened and loosened using a standard spanner or wrench during installation and removal. The internal female BSP thread, visible at the open base of the cap in the image, engages directly with the corresponding male BSP thread of the pipe end or fitting being capped, creating a secure and leak-free threaded termination. The solid, closed end face of the cap provides the blanking surface that seals the pipe end completely, preventing flow, pressure loss, or ingress of contaminants at the termination point.
The hex cap is a practical and widely used pipe termination component, commonly employed to temporarily or permanently seal unused pipe outlets, branch connections, or test points within a piping system, as well as during pressure testing and commissioning procedures.
The BSP Hex Cap is available across a comprehensive range of twelve nominal bore sizes from NB6 (1/8 inch) through to NB100 (4 inch) ensuring compatibility with the full range of standard BSP pipe sizes commonly used across industrial, process, and general plumbing and pipework installations.
