The BSP Socket is a precision-machined pipe fitting designed to provide a straight, inline female-to-female threaded connection between two male BSP threaded pipe ends, nipples, or fittings within a BSP threaded piping system. Manufactured from 316-grade stainless steel, this socket delivers outstanding corrosion resistance, reliable threaded engagement, and long-lasting structural integrity, making it a dependable and widely used pipe joining fitting across a wide range of industrial, marine, chemical, and general process piping applications.

As clearly visible in the product image, the socket presents a compact, cylindrical body with a smooth, plain exterior surface and a large, open internally threaded bore visible at the face of the fitting. The female BSP internal threads are precisely machined into both ends of the socket bore, running inward from each open end to meet at the centre of the fitting body. This female-to-female thread configuration allows a male BSP threaded pipe end, nipple, or fitting to be engaged and tightened into each end of the socket simultaneously, creating a secure, inline, and leak-free straight connection between the two pipe sections. The smooth, plain exterior surface visible in the image, free from any hexagonal or external profiling, is characteristic of a standard BSP socket design where external tooling engagement is achieved by gripping the cylindrical body directly or by using strap-type tools during installation.

The BSP Socket is a fundamental and versatile pipe joining component, commonly used to join two lengths of male threaded pipe or extend a threaded pipeline run, and is equally useful for repair and replacement applications where a threaded inline connector is required.

The BSP Socket is available across a comprehensive range of twelve nominal bore sizes from NB6 (1/8 inch) through to NB100 (4 inch), ensuring compatibility with the full range of standard BSP pipe sizes commonly used across industrial, process, and general plumbing and pipework installations.

316-grade stainless steel provides superior resistance to corrosion, pitting, and chemical attack for reliable long-term performance in demanding marine, coastal, chemical, and offshore piping environments.
