As shown in exceptional detail in the image, a large, close-up, elevated-angle photograph of a single substantial flange filling most of the frame, the fitting presents a thick, flat circular plate with a wide satin-finished face, a large central bore, and eight evenly spaced countersunk bolt holes arranged in a precise circular pattern around the plate face. The significant plate thickness is clearly evident at the flange edge, visible in the lower portion of the image, confirming the heavier section that characterises the dual-rated Table D & E specification over a lighter Table D-only flange. The flange is welded to the tube or pipe end with the bore matched to the tube’s outside diameter.
