The Pipe B/W Elbow 45° Degree is a stainless steel butt-weld pipe fitting that redirects flow through a 45-degree direction change, providing a shallower and more gradual deflection than the standard 90-degree elbow. As clearly shown in the image, the fitting body curves smoothly through a half-right-angle arc from inlet to outlet, a geometry that generates lower pressure drop, reduced turbulence, and improved flow efficiency at the direction change compared to a 90-degree alternative, making the 45-degree elbow the preferred choice wherever hydraulic performance must be maintained, and installation space permits a less aggressive routing change.

Supplied in Mill Finish and available in Grade 304 and Grade 316 stainless steel across SCH10, SCH40, and SCH80 wall thickness schedules, the range spans nominal bore sizes from 15NB (1/2") through to 250NB (10"), with outside diameters from 21.34mm up to 273.05mm.

SCH10 provides the broadest size coverage. Grade 304 spans 50NB through to 250NB, while Grade 316 covers 15NB through to 250NB, including smaller sizes of 15NB, 25NB, 32NB, and 40NB exclusive to SCH10 316. SCH40 is available in Grade 304 at 40NB, 50NB, 80NB, and 100NB, and in Grade 316 from 25NB through to 100NB, providing heavier-wall options for mid-range pressure applications. SCH80, the heaviest schedule available in this range, is offered only in Grade 316 at 100NB (4") and 150NB (6"), addressing high-pressure service requirements at those specific sizes.

Grade 304 is appropriate for general industrial, water, HVAC, and structural piping applications where standard corrosion resistance is adequate. Grade 316 with its molybdenum content provides superior resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion, making it the standard specification for food processing, pharmaceutical, chemical, marine, and offshore process piping. The butt weld end preparation on both outlets enables full-penetration weld joints that can be non-destructively tested and certified to the highest pipeline quality standards, ensuring safe and reliable performance across all specified size and schedule combinations.
