The Tube Concentric Reducer is a stainless steel tube fitting that transitions between two different tube outside diameters while maintaining a perfectly aligned shared centreline axis. As shown in the image, the fitting presents a smooth, symmetrical tapered cylindrical body wider at one end and tapering uniformly to the smaller outlet diameter with both ends concentric and sharing the same centreline. This concentric geometry makes it the correct specification for vertical tube runs and any installation where maintaining a consistent tube centreline through the bore transition is required.
Supplied in Satin Finish and available exclusively in Grade 316 stainless steel, the range covers an exceptionally comprehensive selection of reduction combinations, from a fine 12.7 × 6.35mm through to 254 × 203.2mm. This extensive size range, spanning small-bore precision tube systems through to large-diameter process tube assemblies, ensures that the correct reduction is available for virtually any tube system bore transition requirement. The satin finish provides a smooth, refined surface appearance suited to both visible architectural tube systems and hygienic process tube installations where cleanliness and surface quality are important.
The smooth, tapered internal bore minimises turbulence and pressure drop at the transition point, maintaining hydraulic efficiency through the reduction. Grade 316 stainless steel with its molybdenum content provides superior resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion, making this fitting the standard specification for food processing, pharmaceutical, dairy, marine, and coastal tube system applications.
