Tube Cross

The Tube Cross is a stainless steel four-way tube fitting that provides simultaneous perpendicular branch connections in two planes, allowing flow to be distributed, collected, or diverted in four directions from a single compact fitting body. As shown in the image, which presents the fitting from a three-quarter elevated angle, the cross configuration is clearly visible: two tube outlets running in-line horizontally across the centre of the frame, a third outlet rising vertically upward from the junction body, and the open bore of the fourth outlet facing directly toward the viewer. The smooth, radiused junctions between all four outlets and the central body are clearly apparent, and the satin-finished exterior presents a consistent, bright surface across all visible faces of the fitting.

Supplied with a 1.6mm wall in Satin Finish and available exclusively in Grade 316 stainless steel, the range covers four equal tube outside diameter sizes 25.4mm, 31.75mm, 38.1mm, and 50.8mm, addressing the small to mid-bore tube sizes most commonly specified in process, hygienic, and instrumentation tube systems where four-way connections are required.

The four-outlet equal-bore configuration of the tube cross enables simultaneous connections to four separate tube lines from a single fitting, combining the function of two intersecting tees into one compact body. This eliminates the additional weld joint, fitting, and installed length that would be required to achieve the same four-way connection using two standard tees, reducing the component count and physical footprint of the manifold at the connection point. Common applications include sampling manifolds, instrument connection points, distribution headers, and process tube circuits where multiple branch connections must be made at a single location.

The smooth internal cross junction and satin finish support effective CIP cleaning and complete drainage, ensuring the fitting meets the hygienic design requirements of food processing, dairy, pharmaceutical, and marine tube systems. Grade 316 stainless steel with molybdenum provides superior resistance to chloride corrosion throughout the full service life of the installation.
