The Tube Sweep Tee is a stainless steel tube fitting that provides a branch connection with a long, gradual swept radius rather than the sharp right-angle geometry of a standard 90-degree tee. As clearly shown in the image, the fitting presents a smooth, continuously curved body, the branch entry sweeping in a generous, flowing arc from the main tube run rather than meeting it at an abrupt perpendicular corner. The overall profile of the fitting resembles a gentle elbow with a branch outlet rather than a conventional tee, and the continuous curve of the branch junction is the defining visual characteristic that immediately distinguishes the sweep tee from any standard right-angle tee configuration. The satin-finished exterior is consistent and smooth across the entire fitting body, with no visible surface irregularities or sharp transitions.

Currently available in a 50.8mm tube outside diameter, supplied with a 1.6mm wall in Satin Finish and Grade 316 stainless steel.

The long-radius swept branch geometry is the functional core of this fitting’s design, engineered to guide flow between the main tube run and the branch outlet as smoothly and gradually as possible. The continuous, generous arc of the swept branch entry produces significantly lower turbulence, pressure drop, and flow resistance at the junction than a conventional square-entry 90-degree tee, where the abrupt right-angle transition creates a zone of high turbulence and energy loss. This makes the sweep tee particularly valuable in systems handling viscous or shear-sensitive fluids, products requiring gentle handling through direction changes, high-velocity flows where turbulence at branch junctions would cause measurable pressure penalties, and hygienic process systems where the absence of sharp internal corners supports effective CIP cleaning and complete drainage without residual pooling.

The satin finish is compatible with CIP and SIP cleaning protocols, and Grade 316 stainless steel with its molybdenum addition provides superior resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion, making this fitting ideal for food processing, dairy, pharmaceutical, and marine tube system applications.
