The Tube Tee Reducing is a stainless steel tube fitting that provides a 90-degree branch connection where the branch outlet is of a smaller diameter than the equal-diameter main run tube ends. As clearly visible in the image, the fitting presents a T-shaped body with two large equal-diameter in-line ends forming the main run and a visibly smaller-diameter branch outlet emerging perpendicularly from the centre, the defining characteristic that distinguishes the reducing tee from a standard equal tee, and that is immediately apparent in the pronounced size difference between the main run body and the compact branch outlet shown.
Supplied with a 1.6mm wall in Satin Finish and available exclusively in Grade 316 stainless steel, the range covers a comprehensive selection of main-run-to-branch reduction combinations from 19.05 × 12.7mm through to 152.4 × 101.6mm. The full list of available reductions spans main run diameters of 19.05mm, 25.4mm, 31.75mm, 38.1mm, 50.8mm, 63.5mm, 76.2mm, 101.6mm, and 152.4mm, each available with multiple branch outlet size options for example, the 50.8mm main run is offered with branch sizes of 12.7mm, 19.05mm, 25.4mm, 31.75mm, and 38.1mm, while the 101.6mm main run is available with branch sizes ranging from 12.7mm up to 76.2mm. This extensive combination coverage ensures the correct size pairing is available for virtually any tube distribution requirement.
The satin finish and Grade 316 stainless steel make this fitting well-suited to food processing, dairy, pharmaceutical, marine, and chemical tube system applications where hygienic surface quality, CIP compatibility, and superior chloride corrosion resistance are all essential. The smooth internal bore transition between the main run and the smaller branch outlet minimises turbulence and pressure drop at the branch junction, maintaining hydraulic efficiency through the size change. By incorporating the branch size reduction within the tee body itself, the reducing tee eliminates the need for a separate reducer at the branch outlet, providing a compact, single-fitting solution for controlled flow distribution between tube lines of different bore.
