The Pipe B/W Elbow 90° Degree is a stainless steel butt-weld pipe fitting that redirects flow through a full right angle, used wherever a piping system must change direction by 90 degrees. As shown in the image, the fitting presents a smooth, curved body with a consistent long-radius sweep from inlet to outlet, the standard long-radius geometry that produces lower pressure drop and reduced turbulence at the direction change compared to short-radius alternatives.
Supplied in Mill Finish and available in Grade 304 and Grade 316 stainless steel across SCH10, SCH40, and SCH80 wall thickness schedules, the range spans nominal bore sizes from 15NB (1/2") through to 250NB (10"), with outside diameters from 21.34mm up to 273.05mm.
SCH10 provides the broadest coverage, with Grade 304 available from 32NB through to 200NB and Grade 316 spanning 15NB through to 250NB, including the exclusive 250NB (10") size available only in SCH10 316. SCH40 covers 32NB through to 100NB across both grades, with Grade 304 and 316 sharing consistent coverage through this range. SCH80, the heaviest wall schedule, is available in Grade 304 at 50NB, 80NB, 90NB, and 100NB, and in Grade 316 at 15NB and 25NB only, addressing applications requiring elevated wall thickness for higher-pressure or mechanically demanding service conditions.
Grade 304 is appropriate for general industrial, water, HVAC, and structural piping applications. Grade 316 with its molybdenum addition provides superior resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion, making it the standard specification for food and beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, marine, and offshore process piping. The butt weld end preparation on both outlets enables full-penetration weld joints suitable for radiographic testing and the most demanding pipeline quality certifications. The smooth long-radius internal bore minimises turbulence, erosion, and pressure loss at the direction change throughout the full size and schedule range.
