The Tube End Disc is a flat, circular stainless steel plate fitting used to close and seal the open end of a tube, providing a clean, perfectly flat face at the tube end as clearly shown in the image, where the fitting presents a smooth, plain circular disc with a consistent flat profile and no curvature, raised features, or projections on either face. This flat geometry is the defining characteristic that distinguishes the tube end disc from domed and spherical end cap alternatives, making it the correct specification wherever a flush, flat tube end face is required for structural bearing, flush surface mounting, or a deliberate flat-ended aesthetic.
Supplied in Mill Finish and available exclusively in Grade 316 stainless steel, the range is offered in two thicknesses, 1.6mm and 3mm, across a comprehensive range of tube outside diameter sizes. The 1.6mm thickness covers the full range from 25.4mm through to 203.2mm, including 25.4mm, 31.75mm, 38.1mm, 50.8mm, 63.5mm, 76.2mm, 101.6mm, 127mm, 152.4mm, and 203.2mm. The 3mm thickness is available from 38.1mm through to 203.2mm, sharing the same sizes as the 1.6mm range, with the exception of the two smallest diameters, 25.4mm and 31.75mm, which are available in 1.6mm only.
The 3mm thickness option provides a structurally heavier closure for larger tube diameters or applications where the tube end is subject to bearing loads, mechanical contact, or elevated pressure, while the 1.6mm thickness is appropriate for lighter-duty closures and tube sizes where a thinner plate is structurally sufficient. The mill finish is the standard industrial surface condition, suitable for applications where the end disc will be welded into the tube end and the external surface appearance is secondary to dimensional accuracy and fit. Grade 316 stainless steel provides superior chloride corrosion resistance for marine, coastal, food processing, and industrial tube applications.
