The Hose Tails Double Rolled is a stainless steel hose connector fitting designed to provide an enhanced, two-bead retention connection between a flexible hose and an adjacent tube or process component. As clearly shown in the image, the fitting presents a long, slender cylindrical shank body with two distinct circumferential rolled beads spaced along the shank length, two separate, rounded ridges cold-rolled into the tube wall at defined intervals, with smooth shank sections between and beyond the beads. The elongated shank profile and the two clearly visible beads are the immediate distinguishing features of this fitting compared to the single rolled variant, and they directly reflect the improved hose retention performance that the double rolled configuration delivers.
The two rolled beads work together to provide two independent retention points along the shank engagement length. When the flexible hose is pushed onto the shank, and a hose clamp or crimp ferrule is applied, the hose material is compressed onto the shank surface and locked behind both beads simultaneously, distributing the pull-out resistance load across two retention ridges rather than one. This dual-bead engagement significantly increases the pull-out force required to separate the hose from the fitting under operating pressure, mechanical tension, or vibration, making the double-rolled hose tail the preferred specification for higher-pressure hose connections, larger bore hoses, and service conditions where additional security against hose separation is required.
Currently available in a 25.4mm tube outside diameter, supplied in Satin Finish and Grade 316 stainless steel. The satin finish and Grade 316 material provide excellent corrosion resistance and hygienic surface quality, making this fitting well-suited to food processing, dairy, pharmaceutical, and marine flexible hose assemblies where connection security, material compliance, and cleanability are all essential. The smooth, rounded double-bead profile is gentle on flexible hose bore surfaces, reducing the risk of hose damage during installation while delivering reliably superior retention performance compared to single rolled alternatives.
