The DIN 16 Flange – Tube / Pipe is a stainless steel flat plate flange manufactured to the German DIN standard at a nominal pressure rating of PN 16, designed to create bolted, gasketed flanged connections in process piping and tube systems specified to the DIN flange dimensional standard. As shown in vivid detail in the image a close-up, elevated-angle photograph of a single large-diameter flange filling the majority of the frame the fitting presents a thick, substantial circular plate with a smooth, highly polished satin face, a medium-sized central bore, and four evenly spaced large countersunk bolt holes positioned at 90-degree intervals around the plate face in the characteristic four-bolt pattern of the DIN PN 16 flange standard. The plate thickness is clearly visible at the flange edge in the lower portion of the image, and material identification text stamped or etched into the flat face of the flange near the central bore is legible in the image, confirming tube dimensions, material grade, and product traceability markings consistent with certified stainless steel DIN flange products. The satin-finished flat face reflects the precision machining of the sealing surface.
Supplied in Satin Finish and available in both Grade 304 and Grade 316 stainless steel, the range covers eleven tube outside diameter sizes 25.4mm, 31.75mm, 38.1mm, 50.4mm, 63.5mm, 76.2mm, 101.4mm, 127mm, 152.4mm, 203.2mm, and 254mm providing comprehensive coverage of the tube and pipe outside diameters most commonly specified in DIN-standard process piping installations.
The PN 16 pressure rating places the DIN 16 flange in the medium-pressure category, suitable for process applications, chemical handling, food production, HVAC, and water systems, where the DIN dimensional standard is specified, particularly in Australian projects incorporating European-sourced equipment, machinery, or pipeline components. The four-bolt pattern visible in the image is characteristic of the DIN PN 16 standard and ensures dimensional interchangeability with the broad range of DIN-compatible valves, pumps, and equipment available globally. Grade 304 is specified for general process and industrial applications, while Grade 316 provides superior chloride resistance for food, pharmaceutical, chemical, marine, and coastal service environments.
