BSP 3 Piece Ball Valve

The BSP 3 Piece Ball Valve is a stainless steel quarter-turn shut-off valve featuring a fully demountable three-piece body construction and British Standard Pipe threaded end connections, providing reliable on/off flow control with the highest level of in-line serviceability available in a standard BSP ball valve configuration. As clearly shown in the image, the valve presents its characteristic three-piece body profile, the two outer end cap sections with BSP threaded connections, and the central ball chamber body visibly separated by the two flanged joint lines on either side of the valve body, held together by through-bolts. The blue-handled lever is shown in the open position at the top, and the overall valve profile is compact and symmetrical, with the three-piece body construction clearly distinguishable from a two-piece valve by the visible joint flanges on both sides of the central body.

Available exclusively in Grade 316 stainless steel, the range covers ten nominal bore sizes from 8NB (1/4") through to 80NB (3") and is offered in three distinct configurations. The Plain configuration with standard PTFE seats suitable for general-purpose service is available across all ten sizes from 8NB to 80NB. The High Temp configuration with seats rated for elevated temperature service is available from 15NB through to 50NB, covering the mid-range sizes most commonly encountered in higher-temperature process applications. The Butt Weld configuration with butt weld end connections in place of BSP threads for welded pipeline installation is available at 15NB and 25NB only.

The three-piece body enables the central ball chamber to be unbolted and removed from the pipeline for complete valve disassembly, seat replacement, ball cleaning, and internal inspection without disturbing the threaded end connections, making this valve the preferred specification in food, dairy, pharmaceutical, and chemical process systems where regular in-service maintenance and hygiene compliance are essential operational requirements. Grade 316 provides superior corrosion resistance across all service environments.
