The BSM RJT Union O-Ring is a precision sealing component designed for use within RJT union assemblies in hygienic and industrial piping systems. Available in two material options, EPDM and Teflon, this O-ring provides a reliable, leak-free seal at the union connection point, making it an essential consumable component in food processing, pharmaceutical, dairy, beverage, and other process industry piping applications.
As clearly shown in the product image, the O-ring presents a smooth, continuous circular profile with a consistent cross-sectional thickness throughout its circumference. This uniform ring form is designed to seat accurately within the union assembly, compressing between the mating faces of the union components when tightened to create an effective and hygienic seal. The dark appearance of the O-ring shown in the image is consistent with EPDM material properties.
The availability of two distinct material options allows the O-ring to be selected based on the specific chemical compatibility and temperature requirements of the application. EPDM offers excellent resistance to water, steam, and a broad range of cleaning chemicals, making it well-suited to general food, beverage, and dairy processing environments. Teflon, known for its exceptional chemical inertness and broad chemical resistance, is the preferred choice for more aggressive chemical processing environments where compatibility with a wider range of substances is required.
Both material options are available across a matching range of eight sizes: 25mm, 38mm, 51mm, 63mm, 76mm, 101mm, 127mm, and 152mm, ensuring precise compatibility with the corresponding BSM RJT union components across all standard pipe diameters used in hygienic and industrial piping systems.
Selecting the correct O-ring material and size ensures optimal sealing performance, longevity, and hygiene compliance within the union assembly throughout its service life.
