The Ferrule is a fundamental hygienic pipe fitting component designed to provide the mating connection interface for ferrule union assemblies in hygienic and industrial piping systems. Manufactured from 316-grade stainless steel, this plain ferrule delivers exceptional corrosion resistance, precise dimensional accuracy, and hygienic surface properties, making it an essential fitting in food processing, pharmaceutical, dairy, beverage, and other process industry piping applications.
As clearly visible in the product image, the ferrule presents a short cylindrical tube body with a broad, flat flange or collar extending outward around its base circumference. The flat face of the flange provides the primary sealing surface of the ferrule, designed to mate accurately face-to-face with the corresponding ferrule fitting when assembled, compressing the gasket or seal positioned between the two faces to create a secure, hygienic, and leak-free connection. The cylindrical tube body above the flange provides the pipe bore through which process media flows, with a cleanly finished internal surface consistent with the hygienic design requirements of process piping systems. The smooth, bright surface finish visible across the fitting is characteristic of 316-grade stainless steel.
The plain ferrule is supplied as a standard 21mm length, with extended and short ferrule variants available upon request, providing flexibility to accommodate specific installation requirements or pipeline configurations where a non-standard ferrule length is needed.
The ferrule is available across a comprehensive range of twelve sizes 12mm, 19mm, 25mm, 31mm, 38mm, 51mm, 63mm, 76mm, 101mm, 127mm, 152mm, and 203mm ensuring compatibility with the full spectrum of standard ferrule union diameters used across hygienic and industrial piping installations.
316-grade stainless steel provides superior resistance to corrosion, pitting, and chemical exposure, supporting reliable long-term performance and compliance with stringent hygiene standards required in process industry environments.
