The BSP Camlock Type A is a precision-engineered quick-release coupling fitting designed to provide a fast, secure, and tool-free connection between a female BSP threaded pipe or fitting and a corresponding camlock coupling adaptor. Manufactured from 316-grade stainless steel, this Type A camlock fitting delivers outstanding corrosion resistance, reliable coupling performance, and long-lasting durability, making it a dependable quick-connect solution across a wide range of industrial, marine, chemical, and general process fluid transfer applications.
As clearly visible in the product image, the Type A camlock fitting presents a compact body comprising two distinct functional sections. The upper section features the camlock coupling interface, incorporating the characteristic cam arms or locking lugs visible on either side of the fitting body that are the defining feature of the camlock coupling system. These cam arms engage with the corresponding grooves on a mating camlock coupler, allowing the connection to be made and released quickly and securely by hand without the need for tools or threaded engagement. The lower section of the fitting features the female BSP threaded bore, providing the threaded connection interface that attaches the fitting to a male BSP threaded pipe end, nipple, or fitting on the pipeline side of the installation.
The Type A configuration Female BSP to Adaptor makes this fitting particularly useful for connecting a fixed BSP threaded pipeline to a flexible hose, tank outlet, pump port, or other equipment fitted with a compatible camlock coupling, enabling quick and efficient connection and disconnection during fluid transfer operations.
