The BSP Camlock Type D is a precision-engineered quick-release coupling fitting designed to provide a fast, secure, and tool-free connection between a female BSP threaded pipe or fitting and a corresponding camlock adaptor. Manufactured from 316-grade stainless steel, this Type D camlock fitting delivers outstanding corrosion resistance, reliable coupling performance, and long-lasting durability, making it a dependable quick-connect solution across a wide range of industrial, marine, chemical, and general process fluid transfer applications.
As clearly visible in the product image, the Type D camlock fitting presents a substantial body comprising two distinct functional sections. The upper section features a female BSP threaded bore, clearly visible at the top of the fitting, which provides the threaded connection interface that engages directly with a corresponding male BSP threaded pipe end, nipple, or fitting on the pipeline or equipment side of the installation. The lower and outer section of the fitting incorporates the camlock coupler body, featuring two extended cam arms with large retaining rings clearly visible on either side of the fitting in the image. These cam arms pivot outward to allow engagement with a mating camlock adaptor and lock securely into place when closed, providing a fast, reliable, and tool-free coupling connection that can be quickly released by opening the cam arms when disconnection is required.
The Type D configuration Female BSP to Camlock distinguishes this fitting from the Type B by providing a female rather than male BSP threaded connection on the pipeline side, making it well-suited for connecting female BSP threaded pipeline ends or equipment ports to camlock-equipped transfer systems and flexible hoses.
