The BSP Hose Tail is a precision-machined pipe-to-hose transition fitting designed to provide a secure and reliable connection between a BSP threaded pipe system and a flexible hose. Manufactured from 316-grade stainless steel, this hose tail delivers outstanding corrosion resistance, reliable threaded engagement, and long-lasting durability, making it a dependable transition fitting across a wide range of industrial, marine, chemical, and general process fluid transfer applications.

As clearly visible in the product image, two hose tail fittings are displayed together, illustrating the characteristic form of the fitting. Each hose tail comprises two distinct functional sections. One end features a male BSP threaded section with a precisely machined external thread profile for direct engagement with a corresponding female BSP threaded port, fitting, or valve on the pipeline side of the installation. The opposing end features a plain hosetail spigot with multiple raised ridges or barbs along its length, designed to be inserted directly into a flexible hose bore. When a hose clamp or ferrule is applied over the hose and hosetail, the raised ridges grip firmly against the inner surface of the hose, providing a secure and pull-resistant hose-to-fitting connection. The two fittings shown in the image represent different sizes within the range, clearly illustrating the variation in overall dimensions across the available size selection.

The BSP Hose Tail is available in two configurations: Plain and Reducing. The plain configuration provides a straight hose tail where the hosetail bore matches the nominal pipe size. The reducing configuration provides a hose tail where the hosetail spigot diameter differs from the BSP thread size, allowing a hose of a different diameter to be connected to a given BSP thread size, accommodating a broad range of size transition requirements across the available range.

Both configurations are available across a comprehensive range of sizes from NB8 (1/4 inch) through to NB100 (4 inch), ensuring compatibility with a wide variety of standard BSP pipe and hose sizes. 316-grade stainless steel provides superior corrosion resistance for reliable long-term performance in demanding environments.
