The BSP Reducing Hex Nipple is a precision-machined pipe fitting designed to provide a straight, inline male-to-male threaded connection between two female BSP threaded fittings of differing diameters, enabling a secure and compact pipe size reduction within a single fitting. Manufactured from 316-grade stainless steel, this reducing hex nipple delivers outstanding corrosion resistance, reliable threaded engagement, and long-lasting structural integrity, making it a dependable pipe size transition fitting across a wide range of industrial, marine, chemical, and general process piping applications.

As clearly visible in the product image, the reducing hex nipple presents a compact, stepped body with male BSP threads machined at both ends, each end carrying a different thread diameter corresponding to the two pipe sizes being connected. The larger diameter threaded end and the smaller diameter threaded end are clearly visible in the image, reflecting the concentric stepped reduction in thread size between the two connection interfaces. A central hexagonal section is positioned between the two threaded ends, providing clearly defined flat engagement surfaces on all six sides that allow the fitting to be securely gripped, tightened, and loosened using a standard spanner or wrench during installation and removal. This central hex profile ensures that controlled installation torque can be applied and that the fitting can be held steady while tightening adjacent female threaded fittings on either side.

The combination of a reducing thread configuration and a central hex gripping section makes the reducing hex nipple a compact, practical, and easy-to-install solution for inline pipe size reductions within BSP threaded piping systems, eliminating the need for multiple separate fittings at the reduction point.

The BSP Reducing Hex Nipple is available across an extensive range of size combinations, spanning from 1/4" to 1/8" at the smaller end through to 4" to 3" at the larger end, covering a comprehensive selection of standard BSP pipe size reduction combinations commonly required across industrial, process, and general plumbing installations.

316-grade stainless steel provides superior resistance to corrosion, pitting, and chemical attack for reliable long-term performance in demanding environments.
